Teaching & Mentoring
Teaching Experience
Throughout my PhD, I served twice as the Instructor of Record for AREN 3040: Circuits for Architectural Engineers at the University of Colorado Boulder, in Spring 2025 and Spring 2026.
As the sole instructor for the course, I was responsible for course instruction and management, including coordinating two graders who assisted with homework assessment. The course covers:
- Fundamentals of Electrical Circuits — basic concepts of electrical circuits and current flow
- DC Circuit Analysis — Ohm’s law, Kirchhoff’s current and voltage laws, superposition, Thevenin’s theorem, and Norton’s theorem
- Transient Analysis — analysis of time-dependent behavior in DC circuits
- AC Circuit Analysis — steady-state analysis and phasors
- Power Analysis — reactive power, power factor, and single- and three-phase systems
- Transformers — including three-phase transformers
- Electric Machines — induction motors, with an introduction to synchronous and DC motors
- Digital Logic — an introduction to digital logic
A copy of the course syllabus is available upon request.
